Workers are being ghosted in the hiring process
Workers say that they are being ghosted by companies that are saying the same thing of their applicants. Workers are experiencing job postings being recalled after they apply, not hearing back for an interview, or even having hiring managers not show up for their interviews. A possible explanation is the algorithmically powered screenings during the hiring process that filters applicants out before any human factors enter. Now that companies are being ghosted by workers during the labor shortage, workers are viewing this as a sort of pay back for the “human-resources practices that businesses have been guilty of for years.”
