Amazon says workers fired for marijuana use can now reapply
Amazon has announced that they have loosened their stance of workers using marijuana. They have restored employment eligibility for applicants who were rejected or fired after their drug testing. The company said this decision comes because “marijuana screening ‘disproportionately’ affects people of color” and it is hard to enforce a uniform drug testing program with the inconsistent legality of cannabis across the U.S.
