Workers at a Chicago Starbucks file for union recognition
A Starbucks café in Logan Square, Chicago has filed for union certification. They have become the second location to do so in Chicago. Fourteen workers signed an open letter to Starbucks’ CEO and posted it on Twitter. They are demanding “better wages and benefits, more sensible scheduling, and improved security.” Starbucks has sent a few letters to employees claiming that a union would come between their relationship as “partners” and management.
