Yale in Deal With 2 Unions, Ending Strike
Yale and its two main unions reached a tentative eight-year contract yesterday that will give many workers raises of more than 40 percent and put an end to a three week strike. Richard C. Levin, Yale's president, said that he was pleased with the terms of the contract and hoped to form a more cooperative relationship with workers. The agreement comes after several rallies in support of the striking workers cause by various labor groups.
