Britain Plans Law to Ban Age Bias in Workplace
The proposed law would put an end to mandatory retirement ages. The law would also make it illegal for employees to deny an employee training based on age or to advertise for job candidates of a certain age group. While labor unions are pleased with this attempt to end age discrimination, some question whether this proposal is a way for the government to deal with the problem of financing pensions.
