Corporate Security Funding Up Slightly
One would expect that after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 company spending on security would increase dramatically. However, a survey of large corporations found only a 4% median increase in security spending. The economic slowdown has been cited as the main reason that spending increases have not been higher. There is proposed legislation in Congress that would provide tax deductions for companies that purchase security equipment.
