Kroger and Union Agree to a Contract
The Kroger Company and the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 400 have reached a tentative agreement that would end a two-month strike by grocery workers in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. The company has suffered a significant decline in profits due to labor disputes in these three states as well as California and Indiana. Neither side is willing to discuss the terms of the new contract, but it seems that the critical issue of health care has been addressed.
