Labor leaders say that employers are using aggressive and often illegal tactics to fight unions. A worker at Wal-Mart claims that he has been subjected to threats and discriminatory treatment since he started advocating for a union. The AFL-CIO wants legislation that would allow union certification after a majority signs authorization cards, eliminating the need for a lengthy election process.
